Raganello gorges, is an opportunity to have a complete view of one of the grandest canyon Italian. The Raganello born at the foot of the Serra Ciavole and in the first section falls in the woods reaching the base of Timpa di San Lorenzo. Here the stream digs the first, awe-inspiring gorge, one of Barile, where the high limestone walls prevent access to the sun for most of the day (photo attached). Further downstream the river makes a bend and then enters its 10 km more incredible: jumbled boulders, smooth walls as high as 700 meters, erosion forms of any type, slides, foaming waterfalls: this is the realm of the canyon Raganello. A natural site that is a true monument geomorphology, landscape unique in the Italian territory, the rock and the water are absolute masters (Italian Itineraries ).
